What is a pricing gun?

The pricing gun is a handheld device that will print out price tags for any kind of good. It is mostly used in shops, warehouses, and other enterprises where the owner wants to clearly show customers the costs of his goods.

Inside the plastic or metal body of a price gun machine, there is stored a roll of sticky labels. It also includes a handle. These labels have many symbols, such as dollar signs, percentage signs, and decimal places, already printed on them. The desired price for the printout can be selected from one of the provided choices, and with the press of a button on the gun, that chosen price can be placed on a custom label printed onto a product or container.

How to Load a Price Gun?

Loading the price gun label can be a little different for each model and design. Here are general steps to load a price label gun:

Prepare the Price Labels:

Before starting, make sure you have the right adhesive labels for your pricing gun. Make sure they are compatible with your specific model.

Open the Price Gun:

Locate the compartment or cover on the price gun that houses the label roll. There are some pricing label guns with a latch or release button to open the compartment, and others require unscrewing or sliding a panel.

Insert the Label Roll:

Put the price gun label roll into the compartment. Ensure the labels unwind from the bottom of the roll, which is usually the right way around.

Thread the Labels:

Take a small section of the label strip and insert it through the provided slot or path in the label gun. In case the gun features arrows or any other marking indicating the direction in which the labels should be threaded, follow them.

Pull the Labels Through:

Keep pulling the label strip through the gun until the strip is totally threaded through and seated and aligned properly.

Close the Price Gun:

After threading the labels, firmly shut the compartment or cover. Ensure a proper latch or fastening to prevent the labels from coming loose.

How Does a Price Gun Work?

A price gun functions by enabling the user to select the desired price directly on the device through dials or buttons. A pricing gun, upon squeezing the handle, dispenses a label with the selected price, ready for application on a product or its packaging.

How can you refill the labels on a pricing gun?

• Take out the used roll and put in a new one, aligning the two.
