Receipt Paper vs. Journal Paper

Most ATMs use two paper rolls: a receipt roll (printed and dispensed to the customer) and a journal roll (an internal audit record of all transactions). We carry both types for compatible machines. Journal rolls are typically narrower and use a smaller core than receipt rolls — be sure to select the correct type for your machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size paper does my ATM use? ATM paper sizes vary by brand and model. Common widths include 3 1/8" and 2 1/4", but some ATMs use proprietary sizes. Check your machine's documentation or the existing roll in the machine for the correct dimensions.

Is ATM paper the same as regular thermal paper? It is thermal paper, but ATM rolls are manufactured to stricter dimensional tolerances and often have a longer length per roll than standard POS receipt paper. Using non-compatible paper can cause jams and print failures.
