Common Thermal Paper Sizes

The most widely used thermal paper sizes in North America are 3 1/8" (80mm) and 2 1/4" (58mm). The 3 1/8" size fits the majority of modern POS receipt printers used in restaurants and retail. The 2 1/4" size is standard for most credit card terminals and mobile payment devices. We also carry specialty sizes for ATM machines, mobile printers, and sticky-back label applications.

What is thermal paper? Thermal paper is coated with a heat-sensitive layer that darkens when exposed to the printhead. It produces printed text and images without ink or toner.

How many rolls come in a case? Most of our thermal paper rolls are sold in cases of 50 rolls. Tray packs of 10 rolls are also available for smaller volume needs.
