Our thermal printers, impact printers, multi-function printers, barcode scanners and other devices connect to your computer in a variety of ways, including USB, serial and RS-232. The example images below give an idea of what those connections look like. 9 pin to 9 pin Serial Connection
The male end (on the left) plugs into your device (printer, scanner, card reader, etc.). The female end (on the right) plugs into your computer.
   9 pin to 25 pin Serial Connection
The male end (on the left) plugs into your device (printer, scanner, card reader, etc.). The female end (on the right) plugs into your computer.




Parallel Connection    USB Connection

   USB Connection
The end on the left plugs into your device (printer, scanner, card reader, etc.). The end on the right plugs into your computer.





Keyboard Wedge Connection / PS2    Ethernet Connection
RJ-45 Keyboard Wedge
Plug your keyboard into the female end on the far left and connect your device (scanner, card reader, etc.) to the RJ-45 cable on the far right. The male end (on the near left) plugs into your computer.
   RJ-45 Keyboard Wedge
Both ends of the Ethernet cable are alike. Plug one end into your device (such as a printer) and the other end into your computer.
